I'm glad you found the section helpful! For long trips with Max, it's best to stop every 2-3 hours for a quick break. This gives him a chance to stretch, hydrate, and have a small snack if needed. Keeping him comfortable and happy will make the journey more enjoyable for both of you. Safe travels with Max!

For TomHiker, a monthly tick and flea preventative works wonders. Chat with your vet about what’s best for Duke based on your hiking areas!

Totally agree on the health issues part. Duke got a tick last time we were out. Any suggestions on a good preventative?

Found the section on feeding and hydration very relevant since I’m planning a long cross-country trip with Max soon. Quick question, though: for longer car trips, how often should I plan to stop for Max to drink or eat? Want to make sure he’s as comfortable as possible without too many unnecessary stops.

Loved the section on planning the perfect getaway! Been taking Bella on trips for years, and finding pet-friendly accommodations always takes up the most time. It's great to see some new tips. I usually pack an extra leash and her favorite snacks, keeps her calm and happy. Would love to see more on dealing with unexpected health issues while traveling though!
